Skopje Design Week

A few snapshots from opening night. I'm really glad that people are starting to recognize the importance of this event. We can forgive the organizing team those small mistakes since this is a young event (2nd edition). After all, we are talking about Skopje, and it is not easy to make something work in this city. The thing I like most about SDW is the location - Kurshumli An - an old Turkish inn from the 16th century. There's something about seeing contemporary designs in such stunning architectural heritage. It just melts my heart.

All we see is the sea

Smartphone photos from our summer vacation on the island of Corfu. Why smart phone photos, you ask me. Let me tell you why... Because my worst nightmare came true (OK, not worst, but it's pretty close), that's why. The shutter on my Canon decided to bail out on me. Oh, how I knew this was going to happen while I'm in some place beautiful... All these scenes just waiting to be captured... Some would say "ah, well", but it is kind of difficult to stay cool in this situation when photography plays such an important role in my life... I am going to stop ranting now and try to be grateful for having the opportunity to experience all these wonderful things.
